Leeds Tykes are delighted to announce the first five players who have committed their future to the club for the 2022/23 campaign.
They are:
- Ben Dixon
The centre opened his try scoring account for the Tykes in last season’s opening match. He went on to score 5 in total, in 13 appearances. - Jonty Mainey
The young hooker, whose rugby hero is Jamie George, made 4 appearances last season. - Chris Bell
The flanker was in the starting line-up of his 17 appearances, making his debut for the Tykes against Taunton Titans in September 2021. - Tobi Ademakin
The prop joined the Tykes ahead of the Ventur Cup, scoring a try in the final. Tobi made 10 appearances for the Tykes last season, scoring 4 tries. - Rahat Choudhury
The back-rower made 9 appearances last season, scoring his 1 try away at Plymouth.
On his re-signing Ben said: “I’m delighted to sign another season for Leeds Tykes. Last season was challenging both personally and as a club but we showed enormous heart and potential. I can’t wait to get stuck in to the new season and help push Tykes towards promotion.”
Tobi added: “I whole-heartedly believe in what we are trying to build here at Tykes. I’m just grateful to be surrounded by such great men and women. Together we can propel the Tykes name back to its former glory and beyond!”
