Leeds Tykes are delighted to the next five players who have re-signed for the club for the 2022/23 campaign. This brings the total to twenty players who have committed to the club for this season.

They are:

  • Trystan Lloyd
Taking over the match day captain’s armband in March, the back-rower appeared 13 times, scoring 2 tries.
  • Jacob Mounsey
The centre made 5 appearances, 3 times from the bench. During those matches, he scored 3 tries and 1 penalty.
  • Will Smith
The back-rower was match day captain for much of the season. He made 25 appearances, scoring 2 tries.
  • Jake Brady
The flanker was every present during the 2021/22 season, playing every minute of 28 matches, scoring 3 tries. Jake was awarded The Keith Howard Spirit of the Tykes award for 2021/22.
  • Tighe Maxwell-Whiteley
The fly-half made 14 appearances, scoring 2 tries. He converted 9 tries and scored 2 penalties.

On his re-signing Tighe said: “My first season at Tykes was, at times, frustrating but also enjoyable. It was a long, tough season but we have a great group of lads. The run of games and performances the squad and I put in towards the back end of the season was really memorable and made me proud to be a part of the club. I can't wait for what's in store this season and to see how far we can push ourselves!”

Will added: “I enjoyed battling with everyone involved at the club last season, and I’m eager to be part of this season’s success.”
