Leeds Tykes are delighted to announce the second set of five players who have committed their future to the club for the 2022/23 campaign.
They are:
- James Magee
The winger made 4 appearances, scoring 2 tries in an injury-strewn season. James’ second try was against Cinderford in the last match of the season. - Tom Collins
Tom made 20 starts and 6 appearances off the bench for the back rower last season. - Adam Brown
The hooker, who came through the academy system, made 23 appearances last season, scoring 2 tries. - Tom Williams
The powerful centre started 21 times, making 1 appearance off the bench, and scored 4 tries. This included a vital second-minute try against Plymouth in April. - Matt Burke
Playing in the second and back rows last season in 27 appearances, primarily a back rower, Matt was awarded The Oracle Coaches’ Player of the Season for 2021/22.
On his re-signing Adam said: “The decision to stay at Tykes was a no-brainer. JC told me his vision for the future and I was very keen to stay on board. The new additions of coaches shows that we’re looking to push higher. Especially after how last season finished, I could tell we’re only getting started and the talent we have in the squad will only better the club and myself personally.”
Tom Collins added: “I’m excited to kick on from where we finished as a group last year, we started to build a run of form and came together as a team. The atmosphere in the squad and in and around the club is something I’m looking forward to being a part of again.”
Watch out for more retained players' news shortly.
